By creating an account or using the TUP Anti-Tardiness Scheme (“ATS”) of the University Student Government (USG), Technological University of the Philippines – Sagay (TUP Sagay), you agree to these Terms. ATS is a student project built for the USG to manage attendance.
ATS is a QR-based system used to record student attendance and tardiness at official USG/TUP activities such as flag ceremonies and assemblies.
Accounts are for currently enrolled TUP Sagay students and authorized USG/admin staff. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password confidential. Do not share your account or allow others to scan on your behalf.
Each student has a permanent QR code (your Student ID). Attendance is recorded by scanning this code during a session. Only one scan is counted per student per session. A scan made after a session’s set “late” time is marked late.
Late arrivals are recorded as offenses and may carry the requirements/penalties set by the USG/TUP, applied progressively for repeat offenses. ATS only records these; the actual penalties follow official USG/TUP policy and the decision of authorized officers.
Do not tamper with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system, to other accounts, or to other students’ data.
ATS is provided on an “as is” basis for school use and may be unavailable during maintenance or connectivity issues. The offline scanner records attendance locally on the scanning device and syncs to the server when a connection is available.
Administrators may add, edit, deactivate, or remove student records as part of managing attendance. Passwords are stored securely and are never visible to administrators.
These Terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
For questions or corrections, contact the ATS administrator at support@ats-tups.com.

This Policy explains what information the TUP Anti-Tardiness Scheme (“ATS”) collects, how it is used, and how we protect it in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). ATS is operated by the USG of TUP Sagay, which acts as the Personal Information Controller.
In accordance with the DPA, we only collect personal and sensitive personal information necessary for the system's execution. This includes:
We process your data based on legitimate educational/institutional purposes and your consent to implement school attendance guidelines. Processing is limited to:
So it can work without internet, the scanner downloads the active roster — including names and photos — to the scanning device and stores it locally, so it can show a student’s photo when their QR is scanned. This cache is refreshed from the server and used only for attendance scanning.
Your email is used only to send verification/reset codes and necessary account messages. We do not sell it or share it for marketing.
Your information is not sold. It is accessible to authorized USG/ATS administrators and may be shared with USG/TUP officials when needed for attendance and disciplinary processes under school policy.
We implement appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures in compliance with the DPA. Data is stored on the ATS hosting server. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt), forms are protected against cross-site request forgery (CSRF), access is restricted by role, and repeated failed log-ins are rate-limited.
Records are kept for the duration of your enrollment or as required by the institution's retention policies under school guidelines, and may be removed by an administrator upon graduation or honorable dismissal.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173), you are entitled to the following rights regarding your personal data:
Administrators cannot see your password; if you forget it, use “Forgot password” to set a new one via an emailed code.
For privacy questions, requests to exercise your rights, or to contact our data handling administrator, email support@ats-tups.com.
